Night Voyage

Captain x navigator

"Please let me guide you."

Thinking back to the day of the flight accident, dense fog filled the sky, and so did the panic. The passengers couldn't be calmed down. Inside the cabin, Xiang Xia watched the fuel run dangerously low.

Just as she thought they were going to crash, a familiar voice came through the headset, which had lost its signal.

"Mayday, Captain 5523. I'm AS86, a navigator with the search-and-rescue team. Please let me guide you." Sang Ci's voice came through the headset clearly, along with the heavy roar of the wings. She said, "Trust me. You'll be all right."

Xiang Xia remembered the night they broke up. The silence of the aviation base was steeped in Sang Ci's pain.

She said, "I will never guide you."

Later they broke up. Later they went their separate ways. The sleeve patches bearing the numbers AS86 and AS87 never touched again.

"Xiang Xia, flight number AS87, never fly downward. You were born to soar through the sky."

"I'm navigator Sang Ci, flight number AS86. My purpose in life is to make sure she never loses her way."

A rekindled romance.

A story I dreamed of. It may not be very long.
