Carrying My Rival's Baby

Announcement: I'm a bit busy at the end of the year and won't have time to update for a while. I'll resume updates once things settle down.

In his previous life, Wen Muxi was a fool with nothing but good looks. He fell for a nobody in the entertainment industry, a low-ranking actor. To win him over, Wen Muxi spent a fortune trying to change his fate, pouring resources into him until the man leapt to becoming a newly popular top-tier star.

Wen Muxi thought that after doing so much, he would finally win the beauty's heart. But he never imagined that the other man had ulterior motives from the very beginning. Because Wen Muxi couldn't judge character, he let a wolf into his home. Not only was his family destroyed, but he was also thrown into prison and met a miserable end.

In the end, it was his longtime rival, the person he had never been able to stand, who avenged him and gave him a proper burial.

Reborn into a new life, Wen Muxi decided to turn over a new leaf. Remembering how his rival had warned him several times in his previous life, Wen Muxi decided to treat him better. After all, the man had done him a favor.

So, with the intention of repaying him, he approached Gu Jinmin again and again, never realizing that Gu Jinmin kept getting the wrong idea.

When Gu Jinmin's company was preparing to launch a project, Wen Muxi invested in it without a second thought.

Wen Muxi: "I was worried you wouldn't have enough funding, so I made up the difference."

Gu Jinmin's gaze darkened as he looked at him. "Do you hear yourself? Are you hoping to sit back and collect a share of the profits?"

Wen Muxi was used to throwing money around. His first attempt went badly, but he didn't learn his lesson. Each time, he invested more than before.

Seeing that eight out of the company's ten projects had the other man's fingerprints all over them, Gu Jinmin laughed in exasperation.

Gu Jinmin stopped him outright. "What are you after?"

Wen Muxi looked at him with an innocent expression. "I just want to be good to you."

Gu Jinmin naturally didn't believe a word of it.

Seeing the misunderstanding grow worse, Wen Muxi had no choice but to change tactics. Blushing, he looked at Gu Jinmin. "Fine, I'll come clean. I actually like you."

Gu Jinmin's expression shifted several times before he pinned Wen Muxi against the wall. "Prove it."

Wen Muxi rambled on and on, until Gu Jinmin reached out and covered his mouth.

He said bluntly, "Have a baby for me, and then I'll believe you."
