The Side Character Can't Figure It Out

Am I wrong to look for logic in an old-school novel?

As a supporting character in an old-school novel, Jiang Shen is devoted to his career and cannot understand why some people act so irrationally. Is romance really all they have on their minds? Do they know nothing about how life works?

World One: The family doctor in a domineering CEO's body-torture romance

(I'm saying this again! You can't take the heroine's organs and transplant them into the man the hero has always loved! That's a crime!)

World Two: The illegitimate prince in a story about an empress who is reborn

(I study diligently and attend court conscientiously because I want to become crown prince, but my father wants to kill me just to please his reborn wife!)

World Three: The eldest son of the prime minister in an ancient-times transmigration story

(I devote myself to the imperial examinations so I can become an official and help the people, but that damn emperor postponed the spring exams to travel around and chase his wife!)

World Four: The student council president in a campus novel

World Five: The second-in-command of a military district in a spacefaring ABO world

Theme: Oppose being ruled by love. Become independent, self-reliant new humans.
