The planets of the universe, through their ceaseless movement, display a process much like that of living things: beginning, developing, and finally exploding and perishing.
One ancient star was approaching the end of its life. The highly advanced life forms living on it searched throughout the universe for a suitable new home.
A million years ago by Earth time, they came to Earth. They discovered that Earth's environment was not entirely suitable for them, but still considered it one of their potential new homes. At the same time, they began to experiment with an unconventional migration plan. Of all Earth's creatures, they chose the great apes as vessels, implanting their intelligent genes into their brains in hopes of migrating their consciousness to Earth. But not long afterward, they found a more suitable planet to settle on, abandoned their unfinished plan, and hurriedly left Earth.
In 2010, while cruising through the universe, they came to Earth once more and discovered that it was in a terrible state.
“This was our mistake. When we terminated the plan, we forgot about a dying female ape. She survived, and instead gave rise to the terrifying group known as humanity. They possess our intelligent genes, but also retained the genes for animal instincts that we had not yet removed. Our intelligence has not helped humans live better lives. Instead, it has become an accomplice to their animal instincts, a weapon they use to slaughter one another. They have gone from sharpened branches to nuclear weapons, and their violence has grown ever more brutal and horrifying. Worse still, they will eventually destroy Earth through their mutual slaughter, then venture into space and continue killing one another on other planets, destroying those worlds and upsetting the balance of the universe. We must take action. But before we do, we need to conduct an experiment. Whether humanity should be wiped out will depend on its results.”
