The daughter of the Han Dynasty's Prince of Jiangdu was born on the day her father was executed for his crimes. Her mother, overcome with grief, followed him in death. From then on, she lived in loneliness with her elderly grandmother, fortunate to have kind servants and their son by her side. At the age of six, under her teacher's plan, she left her homeland for the imperial palace in Chang'an and was granted the title of princess. Yet her ten years in the palace amounted to little more than struggling to survive.
At sixteen, the heroine willingly agrees to a political marriage with the Kingdom of Kangju in the Western Regions, hoping to restore the Jiangdu royal family.
But just after the marriage entourage enters Kangju, on a foggy night, she encounters the hero, who drifted from Rome to the grasslands of Kangju. Thus begins a tale of love and hate between them.
One loves, or perhaps does not, and can never escape the constraints of family and self. The other loves but cannot have the one he desires, yet never gives up, refusing to let go despite every hardship. In the end, a tragic love legend is left behind on the vast grasslands of the Western Regions.
A word about my new story, "Earth in 3010": It has a romance at its core and imagines a future grounded in reality. It has no dry, technical physics or astronomy, focusing instead on how life itself changes. It's a soft science fiction story suited to women readers.
Theme: A legend from the Western Regions two thousand years ago
