[Identity V] The Investigator Is Just Playing a TTRPG

You're a happy tabletop role-playing gamer. One day, you open and close your eyes and find yourself in eighteenth-century England, wearing the character sheet you just finished creating.

You: Awesome, it's a real-life campaign!

And so the investigator began a life of sin.

You beat up Crab Cultists and mythological creatures on the regular. Whenever innocent cat cultists happened to pass by, you went over to pet them. You founded an investigative agency, staffed by your own characters, and used a whole family, also made up of your characters, to go head-to-head with the King in Yellow...

During one campaign, you rescued, or rather charmed, a detective, your darling. Sadly, after only a few years together, he went off to some unknown manor for a job.

Oh, right. His name was Orpheus.

[Before you read]

* I'm back to it, so I'm writing a little D5.

* I'll be putting out some difficult-to-swallow, everyone-loves-you stories. I can't speak for the others, but Orpheus is definitely getting romanced, since he's the reason I started writing this.

* The plot and timeline have been heavily altered, and the characters have been changed a lot. There are also plenty of bugs.

* This contains tabletop role-playing, occultism, and all sorts of strange game elements, but only on a superficial level. After all, the author is just a novice player who's died who knows how many times and hasn't ascended yet.

* This story is for readers with eclectic tastes. The protagonist will create male characters and female characters, and with their all-inclusive tastes, there may be BL, GL, BG, and all sorts of orientations. In short, shipping everyone with the protagonist is the way to go.

* No NPC is impossible for the protagonist to romance. If they fall for someone, they'll win them over, even if it means locking them in a dark room and rolling Charm every day. That's right, it's forced marriage and taking what they want.

* Read with caution.

Theme: What bad intentions could an investigator possibly have? They just want to make a friend.
