Can a Delivery Worker Make It to Center Stage?

After finishing his college entrance exams, Yan Xu wants to experience a hundred different lives. Of course, the most important thing is to earn money from a part-time job and save enough for a trip to Tibet.

If you want little work and lots of money, food delivery is the obvious choice.

Who knew his money-making plans would be over before the first day was out?

The director of "Shining Star" has his eye on him.

At first, he refuses.

The director says, "Three thousand yuan for half an hour. All you have to do is show your face and make a quick appearance."

Who knew he'd go viral and become a breakout star at the first performance?

The audience says, "A sunny puppy with dimples when he smiles! Vote for him!"

The judges say, "Finally, someone who doesn't speak in that fake, squeaky voice! A breath of fresh air! Vote for him!"

The contestants say, "Holy crap, the mood-maker has such a natural rapport with the audience! Vote for him!"

And just like that, Yan Xu's rise through the ranks is like a rocket launch.

There's no way he's going home after the first round.

Meanwhile, the original replacement contestant is still on horseback, making his way over.

What can the director do? He grits his teeth and offers more money.

Only then does Yan Xu realize that the most lucrative profession of all is being one of those high-paid celebrities.

So he accidentally puts in just a tiny bit more effort.

By the semifinals, he finally remembers.

Wait, he starts school again in two months!

Yan Xu shouts himself hoarse, but his ranking keeps climbing.

There's no point in giving up, either.

His fans just go wild: We're tired of the sunny, fresh-faced type. A cool, world-weary beauty is a nice change of pace!

So everyone keeps chipping in a little at a time, chanting, "Yan Xu will debut tomorrow!" They shower him with praise, and his ranking keeps climbing!

Guys, who gets it? School starts soon, and I'm still stuck in brutal idol training. You fans are seriously rebellious!
