The Princess's Silly Consort

Tao Chuyi was a well-known simpleton, doted on by Lord Tao. She was nearly eighteen and still unmarried. Then again, who would marry a fool?

Tao Chuyi had free rein at the Tao residence. She drove away three tutors and loved climbing trees and playing in the mud. She hated wearing boys' clothes. She was a girl, but her father told her that if she wore women's clothes, an old monster would come and take her away.

Then, on Tao Chuyi's eighteenth birthday, the emperor arranged for her to marry Nangong Yunshang, the least favored princess. The Third Princess was marrying a little fool, and Nangong Yunshang became the laughingstock of the capital.

On the wedding day, Nangong Yunshang had prepared a dagger, while Tao Chuyi was still happily looking forward to having a wife.

On the eve of the wedding

Tao Chuyi: Dad, can girls marry wives too?

Lord Tao: They can. Anything is possible.

After the wedding

Nangong Yunshang: Don't come any closer.

Tao Chuyi: Pretty wife, come cuddle!

Nangong Yunshang: You're... a woman?

After regaining her memories

Tao Chuyi stood in front of the princess with her sword raised. "Today, I, your subject, will protect Your Highness at all costs."

Nangong Yunshang cried out, "Chuyi!"

The prince consort is a bit slow at first, but regains her memories later. She's adorable, cool, and incredibly strong.

The princess is sweet on the outside but cunning underneath, with a different face from the one she shows the world.

The couple only become physically intimate after the prince consort regains her memories.

This is a cheerful story set in an imaginary historical world. The plot is fictional and not intended to be historically accurate; it includes original worldbuilding.
