The Fierce Little Darling and His Childhood-Friend Bodyguard

Rainbow Kindergarten has a little tyrant named Yu Sui.

Among all the adorable, well-behaved kids, he is famous for being a troublemaker. At least, that's what he thinks.

But recently, a new kid joined the class next door.

Word has it that on his very first day, he beat the big, chubby kid so badly he sent him to the infirmary. That's a hundred times more impressive than making other kids cry with ghost stories.

Five-year-old Yu Sui heard the rumors and gritted his teeth in fury:

Damn it! He's challenging my authority!

So, surrounded by a few underlings who were half a head taller than him, he clenched his tiny fists:

Let's go give him trouble! We'll show him who's boss around here!

But things never went the way anyone expected. Specifically:

He challenged the other kid to a fight, then waited from dawn until dusk.

Yu Sui: I'm so mad! He stood me up!

The other kid gave him a sweet potato he'd dug up himself.

Yu Sui: Who does he think he's looking down on?

He pretended to befriend the other kid, then gave him the carrot-filled dumplings he hated.

Yu Sui: What? He got a medal for cleaning his plate?!

After spending several days together, the little tyrant was so furious he couldn't fight back against the other kid. He charged in with his head held high...

...and promptly face-planted in front of all his underlings.

He failed to pick a fight and ended up being carried to the infirmary by his rival.

From then on, Yu Sui had a new personal "bodyguard."

Years later, the two agreed not to date until they started college.

But Yu Sui thought he was doomed, because he seemed to have turned gay.

All their friends could see they were in love. Only Yu Sui firmly believed they shared nothing but brotherly affection.

"You don't know, on his first day of kindergarten he made a girl cry, used love letters as scrap paper, kept the tin from a box of chocolates to use as a flowerpot, and doesn't even have thirty people on his friends list..."

He was utterly drunk as he declared, "If he's not straight, I'll take his last name!"

After sleeping off the hangover, he remembered nothing, except that he'd forcefully kissed the other guy.

Yu Sui was flustered, but still as cocky as ever:

"So what if I kissed you? It's not like I've never kissed you before..." Back in kindergarten.

"I'm not talking to you anymore. I'm going to class." It's not a big deal, right?

"Hey, a gentleman uses words, not his fists. Let's talk..." Oh no, I'm done for. I'm going to end up injured at the very least!

The next day, Yu Sui woke up holding his lower back.

That bastard, straight? Even if you take the absolute value, he still couldn't be straight!

Because of his family, Li Xun had suffered from emotional detachment since childhood. He was equally indifferent to people, events, and even objects.

That was until a little figure latched onto him.

At first, young Li Xun paid him no mind. Later, he realized the other boy seemed to take endless pleasure in seeking him out to play.

He was always hovering nearby, as if he had boundless energy.

Later still, Li Xun felt grateful.

Only afterward did he learn that his kind landlord had thought he was heartbroken and about to jump, so she'd called the police.

The man was a firefighter.

After that day, Wen Nanxing's ankle swelled up like a giant steamed bun.

Pointing at the apartment across the hall, the man said when he ran into Wen Nanxing, "Oh, that's my place."

Then he looked at Wen Nanxing's foot. "You can't get around, can you? I'll carry you!"

Wen Nanxing: "..."

Perched on the man's broad back, Wen Nanxing thought he was like Dahei, a friendly, easygoing dog. Mostly because of his skin color.

They were both dark as night.

Later, Dahei moved into his room and took care of him, doing the laundry, cooking, and handling all the housework. He even fed him...

Wen Nanxing: "...I only hurt my foot. My hands are fine."

Dahei, solemnly: "I treat everyone equally."

He'd only wanted to enjoy the view from the rooftop, but somehow ended up with a broken leg, and then somehow ended up "living together" with someone...

Wen Nanxing was exasperated.

Later on, the person he was supposedly heartbroken over kept appearing on the trending topics.

Dahei cut the only internet cable in the house, then turned around and warned him fiercely, "Try to kill yourself again and see what happens!"

Wen Nanxing: "."

So how could he prove that he really wasn't trying to kill himself?

The agent had originally signed Wen Nanxing hoping to launch his acting career.

So backstage, one man bragged to everyone he met: "Cool, right? That's my wife."
