Synopsis:

Lin Wanqian was born into a family of modest standing. By a stroke of luck, she managed to secure a marriage alliance with the Prime Minister’s household. After marrying into the family, she realized that her husband seemed reluctant to touch her intimately.

As they spent time together, Lin Wanqian gradually noticed that her husband, Wei Zixing, and his younger sister, Wei Qi, looked and sounded far too much alike, and were never seen together. She began to suspect something strange was going on, but several attempts to test her theory came to nothing.

It wasn’t until an assassination attempt that Lin Wanqian proved once and for all that Wei Zixing and Wei Qi were actually one and the same person. The husband she had married really was a woman.

Though it was hard to accept being deceived, she couldn’t bring herself to leave when Wei Qi was gravely injured and bedridden.

Wei Qi seized the opportunity. Even after she recovered, she kept pretending to be ill, pleading with her wife to take care of her.

“You love me. You just don’t know it.”

“If I loved you, how could I not know?”

Their long time together had already left Lin Wanqian wavering, and now that her feelings had been exposed, she could no longer keep up her defenses. After weighing everything, she chose to follow her heart and stay. Wei Qi had known from the start that she wouldn’t leave, and kept her firmly by her side.

Only after growing close to Wei Qi did Lin Wanqian understand her talent and vision. As a fellow woman, she didn’t want Wei Qi to bear the burden of dealing with everything alone. The two supported one another in and out of court, growing to know and love each other. Their feelings deepened as they navigated countless challenges, leaving them aching all over by day and seeing stars at night.
