Luoxi's boyfriend died three years ago.

In a daze, Luoxi attended his funeral and dealt with a mountain of other matters. In the end, she shut herself in her room, trapped in her memories and unable to move on.

She lost her job, too, and grew so thin she was almost unrecognizable.

But just as Luoxi decided to start living again and look for a new job, she saw a face around the corner of her new workplace.

A face that looked a lot like Jiang Nanyao's.

For a moment, Luoxi lost her head. An overwhelming thought came to her: she wanted to be with this person.

No matter what.

Jiang Nanyao died, then came back to life.

He awoke in the body of someone who had taken their own life. Three years had passed since his death, but, unexpectedly, this body looked almost exactly like his old one.

Jiang Nanyao was about to go find Luoxi and tell her the good news when she came to him first, using an incredibly awkward pickup line to ask for his contact information.

With a face identical to the one he used to have, Jiang Nanyao thought, Luoxi must have figured out it was him.

But on the night they decided to get married, Luoxi suddenly told him earnestly, "I'm sorry. I've actually always treated you as a stand-in. I still can't forget him."

Jiang Nanyao: ?

He thought Luoxi knew it was him, but she'd been treating the real deal like a stand-in this whole time?!
