A True Account of the Imperial Examination Scandal

After the autumn rain, the world was pristine, and the people of Great Zhou seemed to have forgotten the imperial examination fraud scandal from eleven years ago.

But the candidates traveling to the capital to sit the exams had not forgotten.

And Yang Che, who had returned under a false identity, had not forgotten either.

What he didn't know was that the waters in the imperial capital had grown deeper and murkier, and an even greater cheating scandal was quietly brewing behind the scenes.

From imperial relatives and court officials to street vendors, courtesans, and famous beauties, everyone was implicated.

The methods of cheating came in all shapes and sizes: miniature books and silver-salt developing tricks were nothing worth mentioning. Taking someone else's place in the exam and pulling strings to get through were commonplace, while even more incredible methods were simply horrifying.

Caught up in the case were the benefactor he was grateful to, the mentor he respected, the brother he trusted, the classmates he had shared drinks and laughter with, the beloved he trusted most, and even himself.

The truth about what happened eleven years ago would also gradually come to light through this carefully planned cheating scandal...

"This examination system forced me to use the darkest methods to do the most righteous thing."

"If this is the only way to stand in the sunlight, so what if I throw this court into chaos!"
