The Sweet Undertaker’s Forensic Pathologist Lover

[Glamorous female forensic pathologist vs. sweet young female mortician]

[Old-fashioned, celibate top × Lively, devious, flirtatious bottom]

Blurb:

Jiang Li is deputy director of the Forensic Identification Center of the Nanzhou Provincial Public Security Department.

She's fair-skinned and gorgeous, with long legs, but she's quiet and doesn't like to smile.

Her colleagues all assume she's unmarried.

Who would like someone so old-fashioned and boring?

Until a sweet little girl in a pink tutu comes running over with a grin.

"Xiao Lili, have you missed me?"

Jiang Li: "...Yes."

Her colleagues are stunned: ???

Who is she?

Jiang Li says calmly, "My wife."

Tang Weiyi met Jiang Li on a blind date.

She pestered her parents for ages before they finally arranged for them to meet.

At first, she thought Jiang Li wouldn't agree to it.

But after they finished dinner...

Jiang Li glanced at her watch. "Did you bring your household registration booklet? Let's go register our marriage right away. I'm in a hurry."

Tang Weiyi's eyes crinkled with delight, and she nodded like a pecking chick.

*

Jiang Li thought Tang Weiyi was just a sweet girl who knew how to act cute and clingy.

That was until the two of them teamed up to crack one strange case after another.

The Shaman God's Curse, The Floating Corpse by the River, The Ripper...

Only then did Jiang Li realize

that her little wife was no pushover.

The two of them:

One handles the cutting.

The other handles the burying.

A formidable team, unstoppable.

They solve cases and fall in love.

Neither gets in the way of the other.

Tang Weiyi: "The gods say you'll love me very much."

Jiang Li kissed her soft lips. "Instead of asking the gods, why not ask me directly?"

Reader's guide: 1. Same-sex marriage is legal in this setting. Both are each other's first and only partner; romance after marriage.

2. Lots of original worldbuilding, episodic stories, plot-focused, mild horror elements, one-on-one pairing, happy ending.

3. The forensic investigations aren't conventional. The top can fight a little, but isn't especially strong. No literary prowess, no real-life inspiration. No need to notify me if you drop the story. Thank you!
