After Heroic Spirit Gojo died, he was summoned by Chaldea and asked to save the world. A mage pointed at a mass of black mud and said, "That is your best friend, the one you've lived without for a thousand years."
The Six Eyes immediately confirmed the truth of his words.
The thing Heroic Spirit Gojo regretted most in life was that he hadn't been able to free his best friend.
Before closing his eyes for the last time, he thought: If I die, what will happen to Geto, who still hasn't been freed?
So this time, he gave Geto a peaceful rest.
Except he hadn't, really.
The conditions for making the Beast retreat were as complicated as the stars in the sky. In short, they weren't something a newly minted Grand Heroic Spirit like Gojo could handle alone.
And so, the new Grand, tasked with making the Beast withdraw, was once again doing his best to help his best friend find true peace.
But Heroic Spirit Gojo gradually realized something:
Why did he always put Geto's wish before his own?
He didn't want Geto to die.
He hadn't come back from the dead just to part ways with his best friend all over again.

Though the Geto who brought him back to the Star Religious Group wasn't his best friend.

"Why am I stopping Geto? There's no other reason. It's just what I want to do!" Heroic Spirit Gojo smugly lifted his blindfold. "As for what Geto thinks, who cares?"
"I'm the strongest in the world now, so I'm never listening to Geto again."
