You are an assassin without a shred of feeling, named Hellenos Cain. You have close ties to the famous assassin Cain and a certain member of Gotham's bat-winged family.
Not long ago, a rat caused trouble in the League. They secretly developed a suspicious drug behind the League's back, then took it outside the League to sell. The League has zero tolerance for anyone getting rich without sharing the profits, so it sent its loyal lackey: you, to Gotham to clean up the mess.
As a cheat-powered player with an Assassin Simulator, you feel right at home the moment you arrive in Gotham. On your very first day, you sneak into a drug factory in the dead of night, ready to go on a killing spree right under the nose of Gotham's specialty, the giant bat.
But something goes wrong along the way. You are ambushed and lose your memory. Truly, those who stab others will eventually be stabbed themselves. A moment of silence for you. Luckily, someone rescues you. Your life is safe for now, and your target has successfully kicked the bucket. But now, n different groups have their eyes on you, and your life is still in danger.
You need to complete the mission assigned by the League, uncover the truth behind your amnesia, and stay alive.
But you don't know any of that right now. You have nothing to your name and your stomach is growling. You're in Gotham, fresh out of the police station, with the cops accusing you of murder and two handsome guys kidnapping you and trying to force a confession out of you.
But right now, you're just an unemployed amnesiac with a mysterious past, a missing System, and a murder charge somehow pinned on you. You feel completely innocent, and think they're being utterly unreasonable. This is a total injustice.
Then the red-haired hottie throws a punch and snarls, "I don't believe your head is completely empty."
You: ...
You: What the hell! Do amnesiacs have to prove their innocence now?!
