Not only was he handsome, obedient, and easy to look after, he was also a wonderful cook. Ye Anhuai nodded in satisfaction.

Maybe with this guy by his side, that tyrannical crown prince wouldn't be able to push him around so easily. Sweet!

The young man lay on the bed with his chin propped in his hands and said fretfully, "A Xun, when you have time, teach me some martial arts. It'd help if something unexpected ever happened."

But just when Ye Anhuai thought everything was perfectly safe, he saw...

His bandit chief of a father respectfully kneel before the very guard who obeyed his every command, crying out in anguish, "Your Highness, Huai Bao is still just a child!"

Ye Anhuai's eyes went blank. He suddenly remembered all the ways he'd thrown his weight around over the guard every day. His vision went black, and he decided to make a midnight getaway, train and all.

The imperial palace was rife with intrigue. By the time Ye Anhuai came to his senses and tried to flee, he was unexpectedly kidnapped by the original story's great villain.

The young master was delicate and pampered. How could he possibly endure such hardship?

With tears in his eyes, he grew angrier the more he thought about it. In the end, he was still being dragged down by the crown prince.

Forced into wedding clothes, he was led into the great hall and presented to the crown prince as a "gift."

The heavy wedding robes tripped him up, and he was about to take a nasty fall when a hand suddenly shot out and caught him.

Ye Anhuai looked up and froze.
