Fail the Imperial Exam, Then Rebel

~

After the imperial examination in the twenty-eighth year of Emperor Tai of Liang, Xiao Wenyuan failed for the second time after someone else took his place.

Xiao Wenyuan had nowhere to file a complaint, got no results from suing, and was mocked and ridiculed. His right hand was even broken.

"I only wanted to be a dog, but you forced me to become a dragon!"

Humiliated and enraged, Xiao Wenyuan launched a rebellion!

The officials of Chang'an all thought Xiao Wenyuan was just "furiously lashing out in impotence." They treated it as a joke and spoke of him like a ridiculous clown.

Xiao Wenyuan had only one thing to say: "As a modern man, even I find my own rebellion terrifying!"

Stockpile grain, and take your time claiming the throne. With a bold enough slogan, capable people, strange talents, and generals will all come to my side.

And so the rebel army buried the Great Feng Dynasty, and Xiao Wenyuan founded a new dynasty.

Xiao Wenyuan only wanted to show the world one thing: just how powerful can a scholar who fails the exams be?!
