2. The hero is sickly but not delicate. He's a background character early on, then suffers a brutal reckoning later.

The romance develops slowly.

4. I'm a newbie author with a soft heart and can't bear to put my children through angst. My mindset also fell apart several times while writing, so the plot alternates between rushing and dragging, and has plenty of flaws. I'll be more careful next time. Later, after everything kept going wrong, Yinling grew sick of the immortal sect's rules and decided she no longer wanted Xie Buyan as her master. She brought out all the things he'd given her. "Xie Buyan, here's everything I owe you. Let's part ways here!"

His eyes reddened. "Do you think everything in this world can be repaid?"

So, after they confessed their love with a kiss, Yinling believed Xie Buyan loved her. She lost herself in it, gradually lowering her lofty head and giving herself to him wholeheartedly.

Later, Yinling learned that she was a replacement for Xie Buyan's long-dead first love!

At first, she didn't believe it, until Xie Buyan offered her a cup of tea, just as her former confidant had.

As she left her body, she said, "Xie Buyan, I will never forgive you."

Reader's Guide (Content Warnings):

1. The story's pacing speeds up and slows down. Feel free to add it to your favorites and let the chapters pile up. (The author wants to take it slow, but you'll have to decide for yourself whether it does. The author is an extremely impatient person who always feels pressed for time.)

2. The heroine is arrogant, obnoxious, rude, and hot-tempered. The hero seems unbothered but is actually sensitive, self-effacing, and pitiful. (That's my view, anyway. The author's writing fluctuates, so the story might get a little unhinged.) The hero suffers, not the heroine. Read at your own discretion.

3. The hero is incredibly handsome, a pretty boy in looks. He has white hair in the early and middle parts of the story, saves the heroine, and has a Mary Sue streak, but he won't be stronger than her (in combat early on, and in inner strength later).

4. The heroine isn't ordinary; she's just wearing an ordinary-person disguise.

5. The second female lead is a transmigrator with a System.

6. The second male lead is both crazy and sick, and his storyline is important. Read at your own discretion.
