Tong Ling survived the massacre of a town by bandits by assuming the identity of her legitimate elder sister. She also happened upon a petition signed by the people.

She wanted to tell the male lead about the petition, but Lu Xinwen had once despised her elder sister. Despite trying repeatedly to mend their relationship, she had made no progress.

Unable to persuade Lu Xinwen to help, Tong Ling had no choice but to weave a web of seduction around the antagonist herself. She hoped to lure him into angering the emperor, then take the opportunity to present the petition.

She smiled at him, using the last of her strength to raise a hand and try to embrace him.

"Lu Xinwen, meeting you was more time than I deserved."

Lu Xinwen thrust a sword into her chest. The pain in their hearts washed over them both, and they fainted at the same time.

Tong Ling did not die. After they woke, their souls had unexpectedly switched bodies.

A bizarre turn of events followed. The live-in son-in-law not only learned Tong Ling's true identity, but also discovered the mission she carried: to bring down the Corruption King with the petition.

Feeling guilty, he volunteered to take over the female lead's mission and continue weaving a web of seduction around the antagonist.

They say the Corruption King is extremely lustful. Lu Xinwen looked down at his own frail, slender body, now menstruating, and instinctively wiped away his sweat.
