Don't Eat Me!

-

Pei Yan is a seven-thousand-year-old phoenix who has been single since birth. Lately, he's been longing for love, so he heads to the Monster Affairs Office to find a spouse.

His requirements: a phoenix, and alive.

The receptionist asks, "Are you in a hurry?"

Pei Yan replies, "Pretty much."

The receptionist hands him a big white egg. "Take it home and hatch it!"

Pei Yan thinks this is ridiculous, but then remembers how rare phoenixes are and decides he can live with it.

So by day, Pei Yan is a perfectly respectable company president. By night, he goes home and incubates the egg in his true form.

In three to five months, his wife will be born. He can't wait.

Bai Yuyi dies unexpectedly and is reborn as a little phoenix. Beautiful and dazzling, he's adored by his phoenix caretaker and lives a wonderfully carefree life.

Until he hears a huge secret: he's the future bride of the great phoenix Pei Yan. The day he takes human form will be the day Pei Yan marries him.

They say phoenixes are fiercely devoted in love, and only fall in love once in their lives.

There's no breaking up, only being widowed. If you dare to fall for someone else, I'll kill you first, then kill myself. Their view of love is downright crazy.

Bai Yuyi trembles with fear and refuses to take human form. He's scared, QAQ!

At first, when the little phoenix refuses to take human form, Pei Yan assumes he's physically underdeveloped and waits patiently. But after waiting and waiting, he discovers the little rascal secretly takes human form and sneaks out to play, then pretends to be a bird around him.

Pei Yan is so furious he laughs. He immediately gets out some scallions, ginger, garlic, and a wok. "Siri, how do I stir-fry a little bird?"

Bai Yuyi: "?"

No, please don't eat me!

Bratty bottom x doting-dad top

In this setting, phoenixes are hermaphrodites, and there will be egg-laying.

This may be a series of stories about spirits. I also want to write about snakes, nine-tailed foxes, and so on, depending on how things go.

Theme: Cherish time and protect life.
