[The King's Avatar] The Knight and the Princess

"Didn't you say you were just a mom fan?"

Faced with her friend's teasing, Shi Nian was on the verge of tears. At first, she really had thought of Zhang Jiale as her precious son. How had her maternal love changed into something else?! It definitely wasn't her fault, Shi Nian was sure of it!

At an impressionable age, she caught a fleeting glimpse of him on a screen. As she learned more about him, Shi Nian began to feel for that flower-like boy, and from then on she was devoted to him as a fan.

For Zhang Jiale, meeting Shi Nian had been an accident. He'd only meant to be polite and make a friend, never expecting them to have so many stories together.

As the saying goes, fate is written in the stars.

Years later, while playing Truth or Dare at a gathering with friends, Zhang Jiale unexpectedly learned about Shi Nian's journey to falling in love. He was especially glad he'd taken that first step. Fortune had smiled on him, and he hadn't missed out on the one he loved.

He might meet thousands upon thousands of people who liked him, but none of them would be her.

Someone had quietly watched him for so many years.

Written for the love of it. My writing is average, so please be kind. Updates will be slow, but I won't abandon the story.

I don't know much about the characters' professions, so I'm making it all up. Expect lots of original details.

The characters belong to Hudielan. Any out-of-character writing is my responsibility.
