Tan Cuo and Lin Shuoqing were childhood friends who grew up together, but everything went wrong the day Lin's father was sent to prison.

Tan Cuo's father betrayed his friend, absconded with the money, and disappeared without a trace. Outside the rental apartment, wind and rain raged as Tan Cuo was held down at the edge of the bed.

“Don't you want me to be happy? Is this okay, too?”

Gritting her teeth, Tan Cuo went through it with him again and again. Before leaving, she glanced at the drawer full of condoms and blocked him...

ps: This isn't your typical childhood-friends romance. Neither of them is innocent. It's a bittersweet-sweet story, not angsty, and probably around a hundred thousand characters. I'm using it to practice, so please be understanding about any rough edges.

Blurb dated 2023.9.18

My other novel, Waiting for the Birds to Arrive (A wolf in sheep's clothing, powerful man who lowers his head x clear-eyed college girl, the man chases his wife after losing her), has this blurb:

A friend teases him, “What if the bird flies away?”

Shen Yiqing calmly picks up the ashtray, dusts off his fingertips, and shrugs with a carefree smile.

“If it hasn't flown too far, just catch it and bring it back. A little freedom is better for the bird's mental health.”

Certain of victory, he instead receives an invitation to Su Tang's engagement party with someone else...

There are other stories in my collection, too. Feel free to check them out~ (Trying to tempt you.)

Theme: May we cross a thousand waves and finally stay by the side of the one we love.
