If We Don’t Fight Harder, the Tang Dynasty Is Doomed

Her father and mother are known together as the Two Sages, and each of her four older brothers dotes on her more than the last. As the little darling of the imperial family, Bao'er thinks she has hit the jackpot in life.

That is, until Tibet sends an envoy to ask for her hand in marriage, and her mother builds the Taiping Temple for her. Only then does Bao'er finally remember her past life.

It turns out she has been born into this world as Princess Taiping, and her happiness won't last.

Her eldest brother will die young, and her father will pass away in a few years. Her mother will ascend the throne and become the only female emperor in history. Her second brother will be executed, and her third brother will be poisoned by Empress Wei and Princess Anle. Her fourth brother will twice give up the throne and, at least, meet a peaceful end.

But his good-for-nothing son, Li Longji, will not only kill her, his ally, but nearly bring down the entire Tang dynasty!

Thinking of her own future execution, and of the wretched late Tang, when the capital will fall six times and the emperor will flee nine times, Taiping decides that unless she works hard to become Crown Princess, both she and the Tang dynasty are doomed.

The struggle for the throne is difficult, and a woman has an even harder time reaching the end. Fortunately, she has memories of her past life.

She can recommend talented people and help her mother handle government affairs. She can promote the cultivation of double-cropping rice and have people forge iron pots, bringing stir-fried food into households everywhere ahead of schedule. She can even draw a map of the world by hand and send people overseas to find corn and potatoes, making sure every preparation is in place.

But before she has even warmed up, her brothers and cousins are already admitting they can't compare to her?
