Sunset, Fireflies, and My Imminent Demise

[Updates irregularly, but I won't abandon it!]

I'm dead.

No,

strictly speaking, I'm not quite dead yet.

I have one breath left.

No good. I need to figure out how to save my own life before I breathe my last. My dog, I mean, my own life.

Reader's Guide:

First-person narration, a short story.

Not scary or supernatural, with absurd comedic humor.

Most of the characters are women. The female lead has a romance, but it comes later and takes up little space, so please steer clear if that bothers you.

Theme: Embrace the self who messed everything up.
