[Initial D | Ryosuke X Takumi] Road Through the Misty Moonlight

Fujiwara Takumi had always thought of Takahashi Ryosuke as a worthy rival with whom he would never have much to do, until one day he had a terrible dream about Ryosuke.

But after that, their interactions seemed to grow increasingly ambiguous and out of control, for both of them.

An eighteen-year-old innocent high school student and a twenty-three-year-old mature, dependable medical university student meet through racing. They gradually become close friends who share the same ideals, then overcome the obstacles of reality and become lovers, ready to walk together toward a brighter future.

* An extension of some missing scenes in the original story, mainly following the timeline of Seasons 1 and 2, with added imagination and rewrites. In other words, an AU that's more slice-of-life, warmer, and sweeter than the original.

* The main pairing is RyoTaku, but there will also be familial, friendly, and everyday interactions with other characters.

* Initial D's setting brought some thoughts to mind. In the late twentieth century, Japan was slowly emerging from the crisis of its economic bubble. People began to pursue more freedom, whether in love or street racing, and society kept moving forward and undergoing unprecedented change. At the same time, communication and technology weren't as advanced as they are now. People's feelings were simpler and more sincere, and they had more courage to speak face-to-face and make their voices heard.
