You're Making Your Master Look Utterly Useless

[He gave his all for his disciples in his past life, so being the beloved favorite in this one is only fair.]

Yu Zhiyao is a clear-eyed person, yet somehow she ended up raising three hopeless disciples.

Her eldest disciple is a stuffy, old-fashioned goody-goody. His best friend steals his token, slaughters his entire clan, and dismembers him.

Her second disciple is an innocent, naive romantic who gets abused by a scumbag until she's broken in body and spirit, then is refined into a pill and given to his true love.

Her third disciple is a cruel, vicious brat. Only after the death of Yu Zhiyao, the sole person who ever treated him kindly, does he finally come to his senses and learn to be kind. But because he is a demon seed, the immortal sects fear him and imprison him deep underground, where he suffers the torments of hell.

Reborn, Yu Zhiyao snaps her eyes open and decides to expel all three useless disciples from the sect, to keep them from getting her killed again.

But all three disciples suddenly change their ways

Her eldest disciple, who insists that a gentleman shouldn't assume the worst of others, says "After you" in the dueling arena, then "accidentally" runs his fair-weather friend's body through.

Her second disciple, who always believed that "marriage is a woman's second life," ignores the livid faces of her scumbag's entire family and openly takes her sect along to freeload off them.

And the brat, who has suffered all the world's coldness since childhood, doesn't believe in love, and wears a scornful expression whenever anyone pats his head, as if he were profoundly withdrawn, knocks on her door in the middle of the night with a blanket in his arms. He looks up at her with puppy-like, watery eyes. "Master, I'm afraid of the dark."

"?" Watching her three disciples make the sect better and better, while her own status keeps rising, Yu Zhiyao finally gains a little self-awareness one day:

"If you keep this up, won't it make your master look completely useless?"
