In the year 3708 of the Era of Light, humanity was forced to join a card-drawing battle royale survival game. Only the dungeons offered an escape from death and a chance at eternal happiness.
Suddenly, the first six-star card in the pool, and also the one with the highest drop rate, appeared.
Nearly everyone had one.
People often said, "The rarer something is, the more precious it is. Shuer is the least valuable of all."
He couldn’t deal damage, couldn’t tank, and couldn’t heal.
Aside from his looks, he was good for nothing.
That was until Sheng Ye drew him.
Sheng Ye was a notorious unlucky oddball in the game.
He had exactly one six-star gold card, Shuer. While everyone else risked their lives for the dungeons, all he wanted was to take Shuer to see the surface world he had never laid eyes on.
Even though setting foot there meant embracing death.

Shuer had once been Sheng Ye’s only lifeline. They stayed by each other’s side all the way to the "City of Happiness."
Then Sheng Ye discovered that Shuer was the final boss of the entire game.
He killed him.
