Transmigration is incredibly common in China [not really]. Cosplayers transmigrating into the works they love is also common [not really]. But... Jiang Wei has never heard of a cosplayer bouncing between two... no, three worlds over and over! Even Kusuo Saiki never did that (maybe because he didn't want to!). Was it really just because Jiang Wei wrote too many tragic stories?!
Jiang Wei was a cosplayer from China. He'd been officially invited to perform a tragic story as the closing act, along with a friend, dressed as their own versions of the Double Black duo. Who could have guessed that he'd transmigrate right at the most heartbreaking moment?!
The fake, fatal wounds all over his body suddenly started hurting for real. Bloody and trembling, Jiang Wei, dressed as Chuuya, looked at the young man in a camel coat who happened to be passing by. Silence.
But just as he was about to explain, the pain and blood loss overwhelmed him. He barely moved his lips before passing out.
In a daze, a glowing thing suddenly appeared in his mind [literally]. On instinct, he asked, "Am I your Master?"
System: ...You people from the fictional world are terrifying.
A higher-dimensional life form explained to the unlucky cosplayer that, because of a space-time disturbance, space had already been acting up from time to time. Jiang Wei had happened to be performing right at the center of it, and so...
Jiang Wei: ...Silence is the Cambridge of tonight.
"So how do I get back?" They weren't getting paid until after the performance! The organizers had offered a pretty hefty sum this time!
"Since you happen to be the unluckiest person, space-time has left a mark on you. If you return to your original world now, you'll be rejected and torn apart. The only way is for an important native of the world whose space-time left the mark on you, someone like the protagonist, to sincerely wish for you to return to your original world... And there's more..." This higher-dimensional life form seemed to be a rookie. "And this isn't the sort of thing that can be undone after one or two trips... None of my other colleagues' Hosts have ever had it this bad..." it muttered.
Even a person with terrible luck shouldn't be this unlucky at a time like this! Jiang Wei grumbled.
To get back to his original world and collect his paycheck, Jiang Wei's urge to write tragic stories started stirring. Was there anything a tragic plot couldn't fix?!
As the most miserable Host in history, he seemed to be given a little compensation: for now, he had the abilities and intellect of the characters in his scripts. Oh... and, of course, their injuries and lingering side effects too.
Jiang Wei: It's great, but it hurts so much!
But just as he thought he was finally about to wrap things up, the next world left him utterly confused. W-w-was that a cursed spirit?! So ugly! Wasn't this supposed to be the Bungo Stray Dogs world?! How did I end up in Jujutsu Kaisen?!
The System leisurely munched on sunflower seeds. "Who said a mark from space-time only marks one world?"
Jiang Wei: For fuck's sake, are we never going to be done?!
So far, three visits to Bungo Stray Dogs and two to Jujutsu Kaisen. He may end up in worlds he's already visited, and may also run into people he knows who have transmigrated too.
Don't overthink this story. It's just here to make you smile.
Theme: Keep a big heart.
