In Earth-22, the Joker and Harley Quinn kill Jimmy Olsen, kidnap the pregnant Lois Lane, and steal a nuclear weapon. They connect it to a heart-rate monitor attached to Lois's heart. After hearing that Lois has been captured, Batman calls the Justice League to find her. The Flash discovers Scarecrow dead in his lab and his fear toxin missing, then is killed by a trap set by the Joker.
Superman eventually finds the Joker and Harley hiding in a submarine, but Doomsday attacks him, and he punches Harley into space. When the other heroes arrive and arrest the Joker and Harley, Batman realizes they mixed fear toxin with kryptonite to make Superman hallucinate that he was fighting Doomsday. In reality, he had beaten Lois to death. This causes the bomb attached to her to detonate, destroying Metropolis and killing 11 million people. Grief-stricken, Superman then kills the Joker in revenge.
This is the beginning of the end for everything. Even in the end, Batman fails to save the colleagues who were once so kind and righteous, including Clark Kent, the one he most wanted to save. Even if it was only a false human identity, it had once represented the humanity of Kal-El, proof that he was not a tyrant. There were also the other innocent victims, and the colleagues and enemies who helped bring about or advance the destruction. He is filled with regret and cannot accept this outcome, even as he is covered in wounds and has personally fallen into the abyss.
But it seems God has given him a second life and another choice. He also discovers that he may be a character in a game, and that neither a good ending nor a bad one can change the outcome. Can he use Batman's abilities to break out of this fixed storyline?

Author:
Yes, it's me again, bringing you a fresh new story.
Please note, this story is evil and chaotic in the truest sense of the words. Is it about redemption? Saving people? Death? Corruption? Ruin? Who knows?
The main plot follows the Injustice Batman as he is reborn and discovers he is a game character. The story unfolds in five parts: resurrection, saving, replaying, clearing the game, and death. He may die hundreds or even thousands of times, gradually saving himself and this world. He'll break down and give up, too. After all, even Batman would lose himself after a living "person" had gone through thousands of cycles. But he will pull himself together. This means there will be quite a lot of tragic moments and emotional angst, though I personally don't find it that angsty. I'm giving you a heads-up in case you're sensitive to that sort of thing.
Please leave lots of comments! Your support is my biggest motivation to keep writing.
I probably won't make it too long. If you spot any Easter eggs in the story, or figure out the foreshadowing, plot points, or settings, tell me in the comments. If you get it right, I'll add an extra chapter! Of course, I won't spoil the answers when I respond.
For example, the "Park Street" in Chapter One is the "Crime Alley" of the future. In short, if there's something the story doesn't explicitly explain but everyone knows, or some foreshadowing in the story, I'll add an extra chapter!
