The Sickly Beauty and His Obsessive Ex-Boyfriend

A critical condition notice sent the cool, sickly beauty Xie Qingran to an abandoned castle, a gloomy fortress haunted by restless ghosts.

Aside from his easel and the white cloth covering his eyes, Xie Qingran had nothing. He did exactly as everyone expected of him: waited to die.

He could endure any physical pain except one: skin hunger.

*

After Chi Jin died, he became a ghost and forcefully took over a castle. One day, the castle's long-sealed doors opened.

He swooped down from the vaulted ceiling, intent on punishing the intruder who had blundered into his territory.

What a coincidence.

When the cold wind blew away the white cloth, revealing a face he had never forgotten, he smiled.

The newcomer was his cool, self-possessed ex-boyfriend.

The heartless man who had dumped him after just three days of dating.

*

Every night, Xie Qingran curled up in a dark corner, fighting the desperate need to be touched and held.

His eyes reddened, tears slid down his cheeks, and he wept with an innocence that was almost seductive.

And now, Chi Jin watched him silently from close by, his gaze shadowed.

What should he do? He wanted to make him cry even harder.

*

At last, one day, Chi Jin took pity on him and deliberately called out, "Xie Qingran."

He didn't expect his heartless ex to remember his voice.

"Who's there?"

Chi Jin smiled wickedly. "Guess."

"Want me to help you?"

His fingertips slowly caressed his ex-boyfriend's snowy-white neck. Chi Jin's voice was low and seductive.

The sensation against his skin made Xie Qingran shudder with pleasure, but he still turned his head away, cool and reserved. "No."

The same tone he'd used on the day they broke up.

This time, the obsessive possessiveness buried deep in Chi Jin's heart spun completely out of control.

He gripped Xie Qingran's chin hard, forcing those beautiful, half-blind eyes to meet his.

His voice was obsessive and crazed. "Don't even think about it."

Blurb for Raised by My Obsessive Childhood Friend After Death

When You Xia woke again, it was the seventh year after his death.

Everything belonged to seven years later, while he remained frozen in time seven years ago.

On his first day back, he ran into his lifelong enemy, Chen Jinghang.

You Xia didn't speak first, and his enemy didn't acknowledge him either, as if he didn't remember him.

You Xia walked along the cross-river bridge where he had died.

At the far end, Chen Jinghang held a cigarette between his fingers, his expression unreadable.

It seemed like he was looking at You Xia, and yet not.

The first time You Xia tried smoking, Chen Jinghang reported him. As You Xia passed him, he couldn't stop himself from muttering, "Idiot."

Then he took off running.

But someone grabbed him and held him tight. A warm body bent over him, pressed close.

Because he was afraid the person before him, like the beautiful dreams he'd had for seven years, would be nothing but an illusion.

-

Chen Jinghang bought a new villa.

His friend complained that it was in the middle of nowhere, deep in the mountains, and they might not even find the way out.

But Chen Jinghang spent most of his time there.

-

One day, his friend sneaked into the villa and crouched by the window to peek inside.

The boy sleeping on the living room sofa was beautiful. A red cord circled his ankle bone, and the wind stirred a tiny bell into a soft jingle.

Beside him, Chen Jinghang, usually cold and sharp-tongued, lay close by. He lowered his head and quietly kissed the boy's hair, careful and tender, as if the boy were a precious treasure he'd recovered after losing him.

-

For seven years, Chen Jinghang had never had a partner. He endured every rut through sheer willpower and suppressants.

Someone once asked what an Alpha like Chen Jinghang and a Beta like You Xia could possibly do together all day.

Under the moonlight, You Xia watched his reflection waver in the full-length mirror and silently answered: Do me.

-

Unable to mark him.

So the hunger never eased, only grew deeper.
