The Feelings Hidden in That Name

Shen Zhiwen explained one problem after another to Xu Chengfeng, then realized he already knew how to solve them.

So she stopped explaining.

Xu Chengfeng knew he was in the wrong. In his haste, he blurted out what he was really thinking. "You're so good-looking. You must have lots of people chasing you. Why don't I chase you?"

Shen Zhiwen: "..."

Xu Chengfeng took her silence as a rejection. When the bell rang, he resumed his usual cool demeanor and said, "I was joking."

Although Xu Chengfeng's confession had come out of nowhere, it stirred the feelings Shen Zhiwen had already been harboring. She got his contact information through a friend and bravely took the first step.

Using his own words, she sent him this: "You're so handsome. You must have lots of people chasing you. Why don't I chase you?"

She sent it, but Xu Chengfeng didn't reply for a long time.

Shen Zhiwen couldn't help thinking that what he'd said in class might really have been a joke blurted out in a moment of impulse.

Then, with one more hopeless coincidence, she ultimately chose to run away from it.

Until Xu Chengfeng chased her all the way to her front door to ask what she meant.

Shen Zhiwen said, "I just..."

Xu Chengfeng cut right to the point. "Do you like me?"

Shen Zhiwen was silent for a moment, then asked him in return, "Do you like me?"

"You're still asking?" Xu Chengfeng took her hand and smiled. "Why don't you guess? Don't you love riddles?"

Shen Zhiwen: "..."
