[Full manuscript completed]
Yang Yunxin is calm and self-possessed. She keeps to herself, and smiles at everyone.
Her roommate asks if she's planning to get a boyfriend, since once she finishes graduate school she'll be at the age when her family starts pressuring her to marry.
Yang Yunxin says she isn't.
But in reality, she meets a man every week.
His name is Tang Qiu'an, and she met him at a dinner party.
Unlike the other men, who are all fawning flattery, he has a quietness that puts people at ease.
Only later does Yang Yunxin learn that he has good reason to be so confident in his silence.
Yang Yunxin thinks they're just friends lying in each other's contact lists. She never expects one chance encounter to turn them into fuck buddies sharing a bed.
After a night of chaos, Yang Yunxin lies on the sofa, looking out at the river. Maybe it's the beautiful moonlight that makes her sentimental enough to ask softly, "Will we always be together?"
After a long silence, Yang Yunxin turns to look at him. Tang Qiu'an has already pulled away from the intimate moment and is scrolling through the news with an indifferent expression.
Later, Yang Yunxin learns why Tang Qiu'an had let her get close. She takes the initiative to cut off their ambiguous relationship and stops contacting him.
Then one day, Tang Qiu'an suddenly thinks of her and comes to her dorm building to ask, "Are you dating someone?"
Yang Yunxin avoids his gaze and says, "Didn't you see for yourself?"
Tang Qiu'an frowns. "When did we break up?"
Yang Yunxin thinks it's ridiculous and doesn't want to talk to him.
But Tang Qiu'an suddenly seems to have plenty of free time, and keeps showing up in front of her.
