[Entertainment Industry] I Was Bound to a Celebrity System from the Start

*

His family has nothing. His father is an alcoholic who beats his family and is addicted to gambling; his mother has terminal cancer, and his six-year-old younger brother is out of his mind and intellectually disabled. Their elderly grandmother is the only one caring for them---

Jiang Mi is astonishingly beautiful, but fate has given him not a single advantage. Instead, it has trapped him in a quagmire with no way out.

When he has nowhere else to turn, he is bound to a celebrity System. To save his mother and younger brother, he enters the entertainment industry.

When interacting with his collaborators, Jiang Mi's expressive eyes are always full of affection, his smile always bright and sweet, his voice always gentle and tender, and his manner always tolerant and friendly.

Every collaborator: He loves me so much!

Once the collaboration ends, Jiang Mi's calls are always gentle and polite, his messages are always professional and distant, he never agrees to a date, and a fake romance for publicity is absolutely out of the question.

Every collaborator: His current partner must be the one clinging to him!

Unbeknownst to him, his collaborators have started a battleground of their own.

Jiang Mi is an ice-and-snow rose. On the outside, he is as dazzling and bright as a rose, sweet and affectionate, making people fall for him with ease. But inside, his heart is sealed in ice and snow. He is cold and heartless, and doesn't actually care about the people he treats so tenderly.

While those people wage their battles over him, he plans every step, steadily building his strength. He rises from a wildly popular top-tier star to a renowned actor hailed for his unrivaled acting, then changes careers to become a globally popular, influential director and a pillar of cultural export.

In the end, he breaks free of his shackles and becomes the player moving the pieces of fate.

Recently, while asleep, he heard a boy named Jiang Mi talking with his System. Whenever Jiang Mi succeeds in his career, Zhong Xibai can siphon some of the System's energy, allowing him to wake up sooner.

Warnings:

1. Jiang Mi is an ice-and-snow rose, a flirtatious, irresistible beauty who attracts everyone. He has no heart and feels no love, uses his beauty to get his way, and is fiercely ambitious. He is not a perfectly kind character. This is a fictional web novel, not reality, so please don't argue about values in the comments.

2. Main character is the bottom. The top is his benefactor, mysterious but mostly in the background, and their relationship won't be confirmed until the end. The bottom has an intense one-sided crush on him, so this may not appeal to fans of the top.

3. Set in a fictional society where same-sex marriage is legal. None of the characters are based on real people.

4. There will be lots of descriptions of Jiang Mi's beauty.

Theme: Even when you fall into the mire, you must strive to stand back up.
