The Underworld Affairs Office on Earth

Blurb 1

Set in a parallel version of China.

There's a quadrangle courtyard in Beijing's East Second Ring district. A sign hangs above it: The Underworld's Office on Earth. It's an official government office, staffed by civil servants, and its main job is handling disputes between the living and the dead.

One day, Ruyi, a recent graduate who has just discovered she's a jade demon, takes the civil service exam and gets hired at the office. There, she encounters a world completely unlike the one she knew.

1. An urban slice-of-life novel about the office's everyday work and all kinds of disputes between humans and ghosts.

2. The story of a recent college graduate buying a home and making her fortune in Beijing.

3. There are pets.
