A Scholar's Wife's Farming Journal

Shu Xuan spent five years surviving in the apocalypse before dying on a mission. When she woke up, she had become a fifteen-year-old girl sent to bring good luck to a frail scholar on the verge of death.

No zombies, and a world with normal food. What a happy surprise!

Zhang Zeting had just graduated from university when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. After years of treatment, he still couldn't beat death. When he woke up, he found himself a poor scholar who was about to die, with a sweet young wife thrown in as a bonus. This...

Some time later, late at night, Shu Xuan and Zhang Zeting sat facing each other.

Shu Xuan said briskly, "All I want is enough food and a comfortable life."

Zhang Zeting replied gently, "I don't have high ambitions either. I'll keep taking the imperial exams and see how far I get."

Shu Xuan stared. "Who's going to support the family?"

Zhang Zeting shamelessly replied, "You. I'll provide you with a stable home and social standing."

Shu Xuan thought: That seems doable.

This story is set in an alternate Ming-Qing era, in a Jiangnan-like region with its geography and climate.
