Frontier Star Food Livestream (Interstellar)

Huo Yan and the Zombie Emperor exploded at the same time. He woke up in another body and became Huo Yan, a B-grade interstellar horticulturist. The original owner was handsome and jade-faced, and had just graduated from a horticultural college.

The original owner’s good looks had landed him a great job on the capital planet. But before he could officially start, his closest friend and classmate betrayed him, and he offended someone powerful. He was sent to the Third Legion’s frontier garrison planet to grow food for the army. Too emotionally fragile to bear the fear and despair, he took his own life aboard the battleship.

Huo Yan completed his work with ease while lying flat and enjoying his retirement. He cooked for himself and livestreamed on the Star Network to earn some pocket money. Life was carefree, and would have been even better if a certain shameless person hadn’t kept coming over to freeload meals.

Huo Yan had seen too much joy and sorrow in the apocalypse. He thought romance was a nuisance and believed he could remain detached. When he noticed the way a certain someone looked at him, should he accept it? Pretend not to notice? Or turn him down?

The Third Legion’s garrison on Green Jade Planet was dangerous, so horticulturists were unwilling to work there. Naturally grown food was in terribly short supply, and the commander, Gu Chen, was worried sick and doing everything he could to buy provisions.

A new horticulturist named Huo joined the legion. He was obviously different from the person described in his file, and there were many suspicious things about him. Gu Chen told his subordinates to keep an eye on him and test him out, but they became fascinated by his cooking.

When Gu Chen heard Huo Yan wanted to experiment with animal husbandry and farming, he approved the plan after seeing that the expenses were modest. He never expected that a few years later, Green Jade Planet would not only have an abundance of grains, fruits, and vegetables, but also be able to sell them elsewhere.

Gu Chen’s biggest concern was no longer the troops’ meals, but what excuse he could use to visit Huo Yan’s house for food and, while he was at it, win his way into Huo Yan’s heart.
