My Wife Found Out I Was Pretending to Be Her Substitute

[Blurb]

For reasons I couldn't tell anyone, I faked my death.

Before I died, I forgot to tell my wife the truth. Now I can only hide in a corner and secretly watch him mourn me.

Well, actually, he didn't cry.

He attended my funeral with a blank expression the whole time, then sent someone out to find a replacement for me the next day.

I was shocked. I never thought my wife would be so eager to find a substitute.

In stories about replacements, the original usually has to be dead for two or three years first.

I couldn't bear the thought of becoming my wife's ex-husband just like that.

So I came up with a brilliant plan: I disguised myself as my own replacement and approached my wife.

I thought confidently, even though my wife doesn't like me, according to how replacement stories go, he was sure to fall for my substitute.

But I never expected my wife to see through my disguise at a glance.

I stared at him in shock. "Honey, how did you recognize me?"

My wife gave a cold laugh and grabbed my head, which was in pieces. "Next time you pretend to be human, remember to sew your head back together."

[Reading Guide]

1. The main story is told in third person.

2. The top is not very bright, literally brainless. The main appeal is his pure, innocent foolishness (?).

3. The blurb may be revised, but the basic premise probably won't change.

Theme: Love has nothing to do with intelligence. It is a choice two souls make together
