[Featured] Palace intrigue

The selection of young women for the palace begins, and new faces enter the imperial harem.

Among the several newcomers chosen, Sheng Yuewei is the most inconspicuous of them all.

A year after entering the palace, some have begun to make a name for themselves, some have shown their brilliance, and others have fallen from the clouds, their former glory gone.

Sheng Yuewei lives alone in a corner, unnoticed by anyone. She is a low-ranking and meek young concubine, easy to bully.

Until one day, the lofty emperor catches a casual glimpse of her. The woman holding fallen blossoms, her hair loose, enters his thoughts.

-

To Lu Heng, who had seen countless beauties, the young women entering the palace were simply more dull people to fill his halls.

There was only one Sheng Yuewei.

Unlike those dull people, she was lively and charming, blooming with vivid color in a palace that devoured people.

How could he fail to see the schemes hidden beneath her beautiful eyes, all aimed at him?

Since that was the case, what harm was there in indulging her a little? Lu Heng thought nothing of it.

He never expected that later he would personally lay the highest honors at her feet, all to win a smile from his beauty.

Everyone said the Noble Consort was sweet-natured, blessed by good fortune, simple, and gentle.

Only Sheng Yuewei herself knew that she had never been a good person.

For a long time, all she had wanted was to possess a unique and unparalleled status in this world.

2. The male lead falls in love, and later devotes himself exclusively to her. A dog-training romance.
