Echizen Is Still Trying to Save the Socially Anxious Today

As a bona fide introvert, Hasegawa Yuki lives by the rule that there's no point socializing without a reason. She's either burning through countless brain cells just to keep a conversation going or crawling around in the shadows.

Until one day

Her crush, Echizen Ryoma, suddenly appeared in front of her. It was as if he'd had to work through some very difficult thoughts before slowly extending his hand, looking awkward as he spoke in a quiet but clear voice: "Can I... be your friend?"

Yuki: ...?

She short-circuited.

*

He'd been alive for eleven years.

On the day he turned twelve, Echizen Ryoma met a talking butterfly.

It told him he was a lucky charm for introverts and that an introvert would latch onto him.

Ryoma: ...?

Then he really did meet an introvert.

The butterfly went on to say that only he could save introverts.

Ryoma said no.

The butterfly said that when introverts went on a rampage, they'd go around crashing into people.

So Ryoma hesitated.

When she was six, Hasegawa Yuki dreamed of a black sun, a talking butterfly, and an angel.

At twelve, Hasegawa Yuki encountered a warm-colored sun, a butterfly that always landed beside her, and a boy in a baseball cap.

She wasn't lonely anymore.

1. The pairing is a little prince with a very weird way of thinking, a silly boy, and a little pillar who tries her hardest to keep up with her thought process. It's very silly, with all kinds of strange and quirky flights of fancy, and themes of the void, romance, and idealism. *Not recommended for readers in a stable mental state with good emotional regulation who hate getting blindsided, or for anyone who likes things to make sense (...)

2. Doesn't touch the main plot. At heart, this is a "light romantic comedy about two people growing together".

3. The theme is [Idealism].
