(Rebellious and arrogant x unyielding and extremely obsessive)
(Pure evil x pure steel)
Jiang Ling was robbed of his kill by a fellow cultivator during a routine mission to exorcise demons and defend the righteous.
Before he could condemn the utterly dishonorable act, his unscrupulous and unlucky companion dragged him into a trap too.
Qing Ce: "A matter of honor, Daoist. Surely you won't abandon me?"
Jiang Ling: "I *you**you*** what the hell is this**#+﹉,*!//.?-#=﹉+" (So angry his words turned into gibberish.)
When Jiang Ling woke up, he discovered he couldn't feel pain anymore.
He might not feel pain, but he could make other people feel it instead.
Qing Ce: "***I'll kill you!"
Jiang Ling: Smack! (He decisively slapped himself across the face.)
A clear handprint appeared on Qing Ce's haughty face.
Jiang Ling twisted his wrist and sneered. "Go on, say that again."
Qing Ce's expression darkened. Without a word, he rewarded himself with a slap too. Smack!
Jiang Ling's face gained one more point of happiness.
Their senses... were swapped?!
That's amazing, that's amazing. Frogs are delicious!
From then on, the two big shots embarked on a path of "loving" mutual self-torture.
In a bait operation, Jiang Ling willingly offered up one leg for a demon to take a vicious bite out of.
The next day, Qing Ce still went around kicking chickens and cursing dogs, but he was limping.
During a joint operation, Qing Ce risked his life to protect Jiang Ling, taking the full force of a demon's attack alone.
Everyone saw the Daoist in his arms, drenched in cold sweat and gritting his teeth. "Thanks so much..."
Qing Ce smiled faintly. "Think nothing of it, Daoist Jiang. It's the least I can do."
Wei Huasu: "Um... I wanted to ask... aren't you two tired?"
The onlookers munching on melon seeds: "Those two are definitely a thing!"
The demon who'd forgotten to run away: "Shipping them is so much fun..."
Qing Ce hated Jiang Ling. He hated his false virtue and haughty pride, so much that he wanted to devour him alive, tear his flesh, drink his blood, and kill him as soon as possible.
Until one day, Jiang Ling got blackout drunk, mistook him for someone else, and collapsed on top of him, holding him close. With a smile and a tenderness he'd never shown before, he called him, "A Ce."
After that, Qing Ce began to hate the person whose name differed from his by only one character, so much that he wanted to devour him alive, tear his flesh, drink his blood, and kill him as soon as possible.
Later still, gazing into those spring-bright eyes that loathed him in their owner's heart but yielded to him physically, Qing Ce felt a satisfaction beyond compare.
From now on, he would make Jiang Ling open his legs only for him, call only him "A Ce," smile only at him, and tell him every day that he loved him, liked him, and couldn't live without him.

[Please Read Beforehand: Content Warnings]
1. The gong is purely evil. He'll do anything, and he will do it (emphasis added).
2. The gong is a virgin; the shou is not.
3. This isn't really a gong-angst story (but extreme gong fans should still think twice before picking it up).
4. The shou has an ex-boyfriend who was his first love. This first love won't turn evil and really is the genuine article, but he's extremely formidable.
Theme: Let the heavens hear our voices.
