The Crown Prince Offered to the Evil Spirit

A ruthless beauty of a crown prince on the bottom x an inhuman evil spirit on top

Wen Qingxuan, Crown Prince of Chaohua, is refined and virtuous, with peerless grace.

The old emperor, senile with age, seeks immortality and listens to a sorcerer's lies, offering him to an evil spirit in the name of a blessing ritual.

In the underground chamber of a dark ancient pagoda, a cheap oil lamp gives off a foul smell.

Wen Qingxuan lies on his side on the floor, his clothes soaked through, his body covered in clammy trails left by crawling insects.

In his previous life, unable to endure the humiliation, he took his own life.

Only after dying did he learn:

His beloved's devotion to him was a lie;

The court officials' loyalty was a lie;

Even his father's decision to make him crown prince was a lie.

His most beloved younger brother even dragged his naked corpse back to the imperial capital, exposing the state of his body to the public.

The realm was in an uproar, and rumors spread everywhere.

The absurd circumstances of his death eclipsed the Chaohua Crown Prince's reputation for virtue and all his accomplishments.

Consumed by resentment, Wen Qingxuan refused to enter the cycle of rebirth and was reborn on the day of the sacrifice.

03.

Familiar pain surged through him. Wen Qingxuan's trembling hand grabbed something slick, and he forced out broken, hoarse words: “You are the one enjoying me. I should be the one whose wishes you fulfill.”

Golden, slit-pupiled eyes emerged in the darkness and stared at him, as if pondering his words.

The next day, the emperor issued an imperial edict declaring Wen Qingxuan's “blessing ritual” complete.

Back in the imperial palace, Wen Qingxuan was as graceful as ever, but his temperament had changed completely.

He abandoned his former conciliatory ways and wiped out the court officials, nobles, and friends and relatives who had plotted against him or refused to support him.

Before, Wen Qingxuan wanted only peace and prosperity.

Now, he would seize imperial power, make his ministers obey his every command, and bring the whole realm to its knees!

And, naturally, that included the filthy creature in the darkness.
