Please don't say it resembles this or that. I'm a new author still looking for a style and pacing that suit me, and it may well carry traces of other works I've read recently

(Mainly, whenever someone says it resembles something else, I panic, afraid I'll get flamed)

Vast tracts of farmland are polluted and abandoned, and all countries and cities have lost contact with one another, becoming isolated entities

Human civilization has rapidly regressed. To preserve the flame of civilization, humanity has devoted the resources of entire nations to launching the Noah's Ark Project

Mysterious astronomical phenomena occur frequently, and the Noah's Ark loses contact

Everyone aboard is dragged into an endless, mysterious game

Fei Xu, a down-and-out young novelist with a terminal illness

A frail body, but a healthy state of mind

While everyone else is fighting to survive, he's taking it easy

Mutants show up

Someone stabs him in the back

In this game of life and death, no one has ever had faith in him. A frail novelist with a terminal illness, even if he gets lucky and survives, can only cling to life by a thread

Yet he stands alone, bringing countless NPCs to their knees. Like collecting Pokemon, he adds every boss to his materials library, turning them into entries in his own bestiary, until the game lays money and laurels at his feet

He thought this would be the final chapter of his life, until the arrival of that silver-haired, blue-eyed Slav...
