Being Kind to Others, Miya Osamu

On the verge of death at the age of ninety, Miya Osamu patted his chest and told the twins that he had lived a very happy life. Then he slowly closed his eyes. Just as he thought he was about to join Atsumu in heaven, hand in hand, Osamu opened and closed his eyes, only to find himself alive again: ??? Seeing his brother beside him, chewing on his fingers, Osamu was seized by anger and immediately launched a flying kick. "You pig!! Why did you die five minutes before me?! Aaaah!!" Atsumu spun through the air: Waaah, Mom, Osamu hit me!! His earth-shattering wails brought their mother running. Clenching his little fists, Osamu realized he was probably only three years old: Wow, so I was the one who died first. Even after living another life, Osamu still believed food was more important than volleyball. Food came in a thousand different flavors. Volleyball, on the other hand, was bland and tasteless. So when he saw Atsumu once again forget to eat because of volleyball, he asked the question he'd had in his previous life. Atsumu answered with three words. "Because I love it." Osamu didn't understand. But somehow, he also kind of did. Just as naturally as he picked up a volleyball again. Thinking Atsumu was putting on an air of mystery, Osamu quietly ate his pudding. Then the two of them got into a fight. Osamu, who won by a hair: So does that mean he doesn't love it anymore? Osamu still felt the same way when he suffered his first defeat in junior high. He looked at Atsumu's frustrated face. And suddenly understood what he had meant as a child when he said, "Because I love it." "Atsumu, volleyball has a taste." "Huh?" Osamu rubbed his growling, hungry stomach. His eyes were full of longing. "Like an unripe fruit. A sour, astringent taste." "Are you starving or something?" "...Forget it. You can't talk to a pig." "???" Volleyball has a taste. He was sure of it. The sourness of defeat filled his mouth, so sharp he wanted to wash it down with sweetness. And victory was that hint of sweetness. He had found it He had discovered it His love for volleyball. It was no longer bland. It was full of freshness.
