Ruan Zhou, an overworked employee stuck in a 24/7 job, transmigrates to another world on his way home from buying groceries. He stops a strange-looking person. “Excuse me, where is this?” The monster turns in terror toward the young man whose features it can't make out. It hears “His” whispered words, and its sanity instantly hits zero, turning it into a writhing mass of flesh and blood. In the other world, Ruan Zhou works hard while searching for a way home. Mwah! -------Serial Novel------- An Honest Man, but Master of Rules This world is sick. Monsters are everywhere, the uncanny runs rampant, and no one follows the rules of old. Except you. You're an honest man. Your boss asks for your help, and you don't refuse. But he waves his slimy tentacles around, trying to dock your pay under the pretense of cutting costs when he's really just looking to take advantage. You calmly pin your boss's head down with a knife and make him regret not following the law. You turn and leave when the mall offers a discount raffle. But the salesperson bares spiraling rows of sharp teeth and forces a sale with a contract made of human skin, trying to seize your property and leave you destitute. You coolly shove the contract into the salesperson's mouth and show him what a lawful transaction looks like. A hero steps forward, and you pay no attention. But the hero is swallowed by a monster, and people scatter in terror as it attacks. The gift you bought for your boyfriend is knocked to the ground. You smile as you chop the monster to pieces, making it drop countless gold coins. You obey the law and live a peaceful life, yet somehow everyone knows who you are. In other people's eyes, you're brazen and unrestrained. Everything that dares cross you ends up in hell. Those things fall to their knees, weeping bitterly, dying with their eyes open, filled with regret. People come up with countless codenames for you. And so, somehow, legends about you are everywhere. If there are no rules, then you are the rules. You will establish order in the new world. [An absurdly powerful honest-man shou x a gloomy, inhuman gong] The main story is told in third person. Theme: Love life, starting with the little things
