Nonsense [Esports]

1.

Ning Yunyao, captain of TO ONE, is the hottest star player in the league. He debuted early and has years of experience under his belt. Not only are his dazzling plays a feast for the eyes, he also has a striking, celebrity-like face that never seems to go out of style.

He is the dream teammate of every pro gamer, and countless players are eager to join his team.

Everyone says, "Captain Ning is esports' bright moon, admired from afar!"

But no one knows that while Ning Yunyao shines online, he suffers from social anxiety offline. In reality, he's an extremely reclusive homebody with a seriously nocturnal lifestyle.

2.

One day, Ning Yunyao discovers an assassin streamer with a great voice and sharp skills.

An old tree blossoms anew, and his heart starts to stir. Unable to resist, he sneaks into the streamer's fan group, checks in every day, and keeps the streamer's broadcast playing in the background. Before long, he is also carrying on a secret online romance.

3.

Three months later, the online romance ends.

At an offline league event, pro players and streamers from every region compete in solo matches. One highly popular streamer, with eye-catching black hair and sharp skills, wins the Best Solo Queue Player trophy.

During the interview after the event, the host asks, "Is there a player you like the most?"

The popular solo queue champion glances at the guest platform and smiles faintly. "Yes."

"But he's not a player. He's my ex-boyfriend."

The crowd erupts. On the guest platform, invited attendee Ning Yunyao is drenched in a cold sweat.

4.

Not long after going viral at the offline event, the popular streamer joins TO ONE, taking over the assassin position.

But, strangely, TO ONE's captain Ning Yunyao, famed as a social butterfly, seems to be at odds with Chu Luozhi, the team's new assassin.

The signs are clear:

1. The two never interact in public.

2. They never queue together.

3. They don't say a word to each other over team voice chat.

Their fans go at each other tooth and nail.

Then one day, fans dig up an alternate account that Ning Yunyao hasn't used in over half a year. It openly displays a max-level couple badge with Chu Luozhi.

That night, Ning Yunyao hurriedly goes live to distance himself, saying he has countless wives.

In full view of everyone, someone finally loses patience. The familiar black-haired man appears in the livestream, bends down, kisses their social butterfly on the neck, and says coolly,

"I'm waiting for him to make it official. Don't listen to his nonsense."
