After the Villainous Omega Gets Pregnant with the Male Lead's Baby

Meng Shuangxi transmigrates into an inspirational imperial-examination novel as a villainous, doomed supporting character, a ge'er.

Ge'er are beautiful but have low status. The Meng family wants to send Meng Shuangxi into the palace to serve the ruler and compete for his favor, so they plan to build his reputation as both talented and beautiful to improve his chances.

But Meng Shuangxi is beyond help, so the Meng family simply kidnaps a gifted scholar with no influential family background, who has come to the capital to take the exams, and makes him stay at their home to write on Meng Shuangxi's behalf. The scholar is named Yan Chuyun, and he's the protagonist of this very imperial-examination novel.

According to the original plot, Meng Shuangxi and the entire Meng family will eventually be exiled. After enduring every hardship in exile, they will meet a miserable end.

He has barely transmigrated into the book when a servant reports that they've beaten Yan Chuyun up and brought him back... Meng Shuangxi's vision goes black.

To make amends before it's too late, Meng Shuangxi goes to the courtyard where Yan Chuyun is being held and greets him warmly. "Brother Yan, it's all a misunderstanding. I admire your talent and wanted to invite you over as a guest."

Yan Chuyun's face is bruised, and his hands and feet are still tied up. He gives a cold laugh.

Meng Shuangxi: "..."

To stay alive, Meng Shuangxi diligently starts currying favor with Yan Chuyun. He provides him with food and lodging, buys him books, brushes, ink, and paper, and helps him reunite early with his biological parents, the family of the Grand Princess... until Yan Chuyun passes the imperial exams and comes first. Meng Shuangxi celebrates with him over drinks.

They drink too much, and the next day they wake up in the same bed.

Meng Shuangxi clutches the blanket, staring blankly. "It was an accident! I didn't plan this!"

Yan Chuyun is perfectly composed. "Since it's already happened, why don't we move up our wedding date?"

Meng Shuangxi: "???"

What wedding date? Who's marrying whom?

Unable to handle the situation, Meng Shuangxi simply runs away.

Not long after, he discovers he's pregnant. He has no choice but to settle somewhere and tell everyone that he's a young widow carrying her late husband's posthumous child.

One day, someone knocks on the courtyard gate. Meng Shuangxi opens it to find Yan Chuyun, who has recently ascended the throne.

Yan Chuyun says, "Now that I'm emperor, I can make your wish to become empress come true. Come back with me."

Meng Shuangxi looks utterly bewildered.

Wait... when did he ever say he wanted to become empress?
