In My Dreams, I Forgot I Was a Stranger

★ Daoist top VS white cat bottom ★ Episodic story

Ji Chuan was born noble.

Yet he was an outcast among the black cats: not only was his magic weak, he was also a sickly white cat.

Although his body was frail, he could foresee the future and was born with ears that could hear the voices of all things.

After his clan was wiped out, he wandered among humans, making a living by telling fortunes.

One day, a miscalculation forced Ji Chuan's fate to become bound to that of Jiang Yan, a demon-hunting celestial master.

He was great at keeping himself alive, but he didn't want to open his eyes every day and find his mortal enemy looming over him!

Ji Chuan pretended to be calm. As long as he had his magic artifact, a mere demon hunter could do nothing to him.

He tried every trick in the book to escape.

But this demon hunter seemed to have been sent by the heavens to thwart him.

His mind-reading and prophecy abilities didn't work on him at all!

That is, until the demon hunter was seriously injured, on the verge of death.

Ji Chuan was overjoyed and was about to flee when he suddenly heard the demon hunter thinking, "As expected, he never cared about me. Now that I'm badly injured, he's going to abandon me."

Ji Chuan: "?????"

Ji Chuan: "No! Are you delirious with a fever? I'm a demon! A demon! Aren't we mortal enemies?"

As Jiang Yan struggled on the brink of death, he saw the person who had been about to abandon him turn back, eyes glistening with tears.

Jiang Yan thought, "Wonderful. He does care about me."

Ji Chuan's mouth twitched. "I just wanted to check when this guy was going to die."
