Summer Sky

★ A gentle, devoted CEO seme x a beautiful, tender secretary uke ★

★ He's tender to the bone, and she's innocent and carefree ★

Xia Qingkong has loved Dong Nianxue for ten years.

During their graduation season, he once confessed to her carefully and timidly.

Hope and expectation shone in Xia Qingkong's eyes. "I love you. I've loved you for ten years."

Dong Nianxue: "I love Du Shengxu."

But in this battle for love, he lost to Du Shengxu and could only flee in humiliation.

Five years later:

Xia Qingkong inherits his late father's estate and becomes the new CEO of Yaohua Group.

On his first day at work, the secretary assigned by the company nervously opens his office door. Hearing her, Xia Qingkong turns around, and his eyes meet Dong Nianxue's.

He extends his hand, composed and polite. "It's been years. I hope you've been well."

After their reunion:

People who know they were once together all tell Xia Qingkong that she never got together with Du Shengxu!

Unwilling to give up, Xia Qingkong confesses once more:

"Give me a chance to love you."

Unsurprisingly, he's rejected again.

Until:

Only when he sees Dong Nianxue walking beside Du Shengxu does Xia Qingkong finally understand.

If someone doesn't love you, they never will.

Watching them walk farther and farther away, Xia Qingkong lowers his eyes. After a moment of silence, he suddenly laughs.

"I told you that you could be with someone else, but not Du Shengxu."

"This time, I won't let you reject me again."

★ Bad ending. Angsty, melodramatic tragedy. Don't read if that's not your thing. Mainly from the male lead's POV. ★

★ I rarely write romance, so updates are irregular and the length is uncertain, though probably long. ★

Theme: I was part of your youth, and you were part of mine.
