Daybreak

A practice piece for writing romance / Note from May 6, 2024~

In the entertainment industry, Xi Yan had debuted to instant fame, was a solid actor, and was highly active with his fans. There were three kinds of people he hated most.

The self-important, the scheming, and those who got ahead on their looks.

Jiang Nian happened to tick all three boxes, so Xi Yan couldn’t stand him and targeted him, both openly and behind the scenes.

Until a scene audition.

Jiang Nian sat in the lead seat wearing a black suit, a cigarette tucked between the fingers of his right hand. His movements were elegant and restrained. With his eyes half-lidded, he looked down on everyone and said without a hint of expression, “Kneel.”

It was all a misunderstanding, really.
