Just to Watch the Rain

Ruthless villainess x feral boy

Fake siblings / [redacted] fiction

Lu Yu met Xu Zeyi, who was mired in the same swamp, during the darkest year of her life.

Xu Zeyi often said they were a pair of wild dogs licking each other's wounds.

Crude, but helplessly true...

They couldn't save each other. All they could do was drag each other down to hell for company.

A small town at seventeen trapped two broken souls.

With the college entrance exam looming, Lu Yu's mother abandoned her, treating her like a burden, in order to find a better match. She dumped Lu Yu at the home of her former lover.

There was a boy in the man's house, two years older than her, named Xu Zeyi.

Xu Zeyi was a master of fighting, troublemaking, and every vice under the sun.

He hated her. "We're poor. You sleep on the floor. If you dare touch my things, I'll chop your hands off!"

Half a year later, the family's only source of income, her alcoholic foster father, died in an accident.

On the day of his funeral, Xu Zeyi called her a jinx.

But she said, "Brother... I want to keep studying."

Xu Zeyi became the family's breadwinner. She got into school, then left.

He called her an ungrateful wretch.

Xu Zeyi kept cursing her until, three years later, he finally let go and forgot about her.

Then, on a rainy night, he saw her return to town, kissing her well-spoken boyfriend beneath a streetlight.

Like a stinking dog that had been abandoned, he lived in the gutter, staring at her from the shadows, unable to accept it.

He would make the ungrateful wretch pay.

1v1, happy ending, both are each other's first
